Ok we will just say I suck at blogging and move on :)

I won't make excuses or say I will do better...cause well that's probably not true lol!

We have had alot of company the past few months.My sister came up for a week and that was fun.We discuss that it will probably be the last year we do spring break together because the kids are getting older and it's just hard.They all have their things they are into and the two older kids will have jobs soon.We will still visit each other when we can though.

My good friend,Katia(a fellow DD'er) came to visit us...it was a blast and thanks to the Oklahoma weather we actually got a couple extra days together.Of course we were angels the entire time!!!! Ok maybe not the entire time;) We tried real hard so that's gotta count for something right?

My cousin and friend came down about a week ago.We weren't really expecting them to come till last minute so we didn't have much planned but it was still fun.

We are trying to plan a trip to Branson soon.I'm not sure how easy that will be considering they tok Shannon's days off away and his hours have really been slim.I'm enjoying him being home on a more regular basis though.

The kids school years in coming to a close soon...where did the year go? J is finishing up track,which he totally loves! I never really pictured him as a track kid,but I'm so glad he is enjoying it.K is trying to decide between softball and cheerleading.I would like to see her do softball I think she would be great at it but I think her hearts in cheer.I'll support her either way.I'm trying to get T to play softball as well it's not looking so good but I'll keep my fingers crossed :)

I was hoping next time I posted I would have quit smoking but no such luck.UGH! We are not making it a DD issue at the moment thank goodness!! We will start again June 1st.I needed a break. It just became this nasty issue between Shannon and I.It was like everything was going so wonderful but then there was the smoking issue.I needed the big nasty cloud NOT hanging over my head for a bit.He wasn't to comfy with the idea and it took lots of talking,but eventually he got where I was coming from.He's really hateing it though I can tell.People that smoke get it a tad better than those who don't.I use my smokes for everything if I'm tired,hungry,upset,sick....whatever so it's tough to let them go.I know that I should though and yes I know all the nasty stuff associated with it;) My job now is to get to that place of really wanting to quit by June 1st.That's all I'll say about that for now.

I'm getting ready to start my garden which I'm totally excited about and if the weather would work with me a bit I'd have already started lol!I have also finally got all the rescue dogs a good home and now we are down to just 'ours' I can't tell you how nice that is.It's time to get busy with some spring cleaning! This would be a good week for it because Shannon's out of town for a few days,but the kids have tons going on and the weather sucks.

I've been busy!

I didn't realize it had been so long geez! I was sick for a couple weeks and that really threw things off.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.I cooked and our neighbor joined us.After the neighbors left we sat around in our 'fat clothes' and watched football and played a few family games it was really nice.I was just glad Shannon got to spend the day with us we weren't sure he'd even be home.I also enjoyed having the kids home.I can't wait for their Christmas break....or summer for that matter lol!

Friday morning Shannon got called out for a job so I did some shopping alone.We usually do it together and I prefer it that way.I didn't venture too far and got back home around noon.I usually put up the tree the first weekend in December but the kids couldn't wait this year so as soon as I got home we put it up.Josh and I had already got a huge jumpstart on the lights so we finished those too.Now we just need to get a few yard ornaments put out and we're done woohoo!

J has basketball practice at 6am all week...I'm not enjoying being up at the butt crack of dawn.I have to have J there at 6 then come home and take K for her practice at 7am.I think I'd prefer after school practice again.K's first game is next week and I can't wait!We thought J was having a week long tournament but they took the 7th and 8th grade out of it...:(

I started my Chantix today!!! The smoking thing has been going pretty good I had a couple days that I didn't meet my goal but by the time Shannon came home I was sick and by the time I was well it had been way to long to deal with it.Getting sick helped me to smoke alot less and so far so good.I'm down to about 6-8 a day which is good compared to when I started.All that was done pre-meds so it should get better from here.I'm sure I'll start feeling like crap when the meds get in my system and I hate that part.In the end it will be worth it though:)

The high school football season is over.

We had our last football game Friday night.The weather would have been great had it not been for the wind blowing like crazy.We won though and that was nice!We haven't had the best team this last couple years.We just started playing 11 man before that we played 8 man,so the change has been difficult for the boys.I'm confident we will get better and better though!

K was in cheer camp all week and they did the half time show...it was so cute!I got pics but no video as I didn't realize I was out of tape.K has done cheer camp for the last four years I think and she loves it so much.It is always nice to watch her work so hard in such a short time to get all the moves just right.

We finally got all the halloween decorations taken down and packed back up phew!I thought it would be a great idea to put up Christmas lights while it was so pretty this week....what was I thinking lol!I will be glad I did when it is freezing outside,but for now J and I are stressing over getting them all up.Shannon usually does it and we just help,but this year it's just us....here's to hoping we don't screw it up lol!

I'll update on the smoking tomorrow maybe.This morning I need to make my babies some breakfast.

Halloween weekend and an update

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! My sister and her family got in Friday evening and we had lots of fun talking and having a few drinks.Saturday we all got up had to get all ten of us showered and dressed by lunch time,which wasn't easy lol!Then we did some last minutes shopping and started setting up for the party.The party went really well and the kids were all sweet enough to let me take pictures of them as they showed up.Later on in the evening the kids all went in a big group trick or treating us parents finally had some time to relax...we were beat! That night we all went to bed somewhat early.All in all it went pretty well and now I will spend the next week taking down all the decorations...at least the weather will be pretty.I have actually thought about hanging the Christmas lights early because of the nice weather instead of hanging them when it's freezing like we usually do.

K starts cheer camp this week so it will be hectic in the evenings.The little kid's basketball games are starting soon...I can't wait!!! I'm not ready for the traveling but I am excited about seeing them play.Plus an indoor sport and NOT freezing my butt off seems nice.We haven't had kids in basketball in about 6 years or so so this will feel new.

Update on my smoking-I met my second goal woohoo! Now we will have daily goals and it get's a bit harder but I feel prepared.I've changed from my menthol just because it's harder to quit menthol than regular.That has been good and bad.I don't want to smoke as many so that's good but they irritate my throat a bit and my chest is feeling a bit tight....I guess that could still be good considering that's why I'm smoking less{wink}

Anyway busy day today cleaning up from the weekend and grocery shopping.My luch date got cancelled with Shannon so that stinks but maybe next time.
